Angelica Ruzanova is a Research Intern at the Center for News, Technology & Innovation. Prior to joining CNTI, she served as a Product Fellow at The Texas Tribune, where she co-led an AI feedback survey that helped inform the organization’s policy. She previously served as editor-in-chief of ACCENT Student Media, conducted a science communication campaign for Friends of Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge, and authored legal memos on international law under the supervision of a Central Asian law firm.
Originally from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Angelica brings a global perspective to making research actionable. Her work focuses on technology ethics and regulation, with particular interest in how AI influences the production, delivery, and consumption of information.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, with a minor in Global Sustainability Leadership, from the University of Texas at Austin. During her time there, she was also an AI Fellow with the Media Innovation Group and a Reporter for The Daily Texan.
