Mike Webb is a communications consultant for the Center for News, Technology & Innovation where he helps develop and execute strategies to increase awareness of CNTI’s research and resources. Prior to CNTI, he was the Senior Vice President of Media and Marketing for the News Literacy Project where his work helped people discern fact from fiction in the news and information they consumed. Webb was the founding Director of Communications and eventual Vice President of Communications for ProPublica where he was responsible for making sure their investigations had impact. He’s also held communications and marketing roles for Honolulu Civil Beat, the Brennan Center for Justice, BerlinRosen Public Affairs, and The Nation among other organizations. He received his BSJ in the magazine program of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, and in his spare time he travels extensively and plays guitar, bass and drums.
