Prabhat Katyayan Mishra is a Senior Fellow at the Center for News, Technology & Innovation. Prior to joining CNTI, he was a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University and Harvard Yenching Institute, where he conducted interdisciplinary research on AI governance in China.
Previously, he undertook extensive field work on AI adoption, innovation, and entrepreneurship as a Senior Visiting Scholar at Tsinghua University, and a Visiting Fellow at National Taiwan Normal University, where he also received intensive language training in Mandarin Chinese.
His research interests include AI governance, human-technology relations, and technology laws and policies, with a focus on China, India, and the United States.
Prabhat has taught courses on AI Policy and Data Journalism, and publishes across academic, policy, and public fora. He holds an M.Phil. in Law and Governance, an M.A. in Communication and Media Governance, and a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature. He works in English, Hindi, and Chinese, and is currently learning French.
